?Hi Andrew, With your step 3 results there is something wrong with the transformer or in the small portion of the circuit/wiring between the fuses and transformer cores. I know you checked the

Re: Hold Downs
Why (apart from the challenge) would you want to print something as simple as a straight hold-down when it can be made from scrap wood in a few minutes? Design'n'print will take longer than making

Re: AD951 Electrical Issues #servicing #wiring #electrical #jointerplaner
My first assumption would be that the 24V circuit is shorted to ground. If you can reach the fuse base contact with a probe, check the continuity of that to chassis ground. If there is continuity

Re: AD951 Electrical Issues #servicing #wiring #electrical #jointerplaner
Hi Imran, thank-you for the well wishes, she is doing better and should make a full recovery thankfully. 1&2. Seems you are correct about the switched labels, continuity tests prove that 1F2 is L1

Joel, your rip fence should be calibrated with toe-out for safety reasons. I suggest you read this document:

Jonanthan, As I think more about my incident, I believe I had my blade height too low and greatly appreciate your explanation. I had just read an article on blade height talking about the angle of

Re: Kickback
I suspect there are several variations of kick-back. Loose offcuts sometimes contact the edge of the spinning blade at approximately the elevation of the table. These get thrown back, with not a lot

Re: Kickback
Hi Joel, Not an expert either but I thought that slight toe out is always recommended. Slider allows to have toe out for rip and slider at the same time, so no reason not to do it. If you don¡¯t have

Re: Kickback
In my experience the majority of kick back is due to incorrect blade hight. This can happen even with the correct riving knife fitted. If the blade is not high enough and the top of the blade/carbide

Hi Bill, You may want to check the toe out on the slider side. The rear of the blade can throw the off cut back (as shown in your video) if the toe out is excessive. It could be just a coincidence but

The riving knife would do nothing to stop the kickback in Bill¡¯s video example nor small cut offs the blade turns down without the zero clearance. The great thing about the slider is you are
