Re: AD941 Planer Thickness Variation
I bet it's more likely an errant chip stuck somewhere or inconsistent wood density across the face will cause your stock to feed slightly off-plane. Or, just run it through twice and/or flip

Re: Rangate 300 Lift Cart
I have both the Rangate and Barth lift tables, both very nice and equal build quality. I do notice that the Barth raises more per pump stroke. Also, unless they now offer a top option, the Rangate

Re: Rangate 300 Lift Cart
I bought the 6ft long adjustable husky rolling bench and put a 4'x8' torsion box table on top of it instead of the top it came with. I use it as my main assembly table. Only problem is that the hand

AD941 Planer Thickness Variation
I'm also done with the self-commissioning of my new AD941. I ran a couple of 3" wide pieces of red oak, one on the left side of the planer ("thicknesser") and one on the right. There was about 0.005"

Re: Rangate 300 Lift Cart
Thanks Brett. Good to hear a positive review from someone who owns a couple. Joel, do you have a link for the Husky cart? Is it a scissor lift? I¡¯m thinking of building a larger heavier bench in the

Re: Rangate 300 Lift Cart
Wouldn¡¯t even consider anything from Husky, but that Barth 300XL & Felder Fat 300S look really nice, especially because these two offer the height adjustment from both sides of the cart. Does anyone

Re: CF741 won't start
If it is in the stop string, you should be able to go into your electrical panel and find the two connections and check for continuity between those two terminals or even disconnect the wires and use

I have a 500v (not used as a mobile cart) and I have seen other lift carts. ?I was thinking about the Rangate lift cart as my mobile cart after a shop revision, and it was suggested I get a Husky

CF741 won't start
So, I went to start my CF741 today and no luck. Power is on to the machine, the reverse light does not illuminate, so I presume it is a failed stop switch. I¡¯ve blown out the ones that I¡¯m aware

Re: Rangate 300 Lift Cart
Not sure how it compares to Barth/Felder, but I have 2 Rangate lift carts in service since beginning of 2023 and 1) they are worth the price and 2)they are underrated in performance specs. The casters

I¡¯ve been doing more rough carpentry jobs in my garage and was thinking a rolling cart would come in handy. I currently have the Barth 300 and 500v in my basement shop and wouldn¡¯t be without

Re: My Felder Road Trip
I saw one of the Kappa 590s turned on and functioning in the showroom. As for the ability to choose colors: this is what Pinosh told me while we were touring the powder-coating area of the factory.

John Huelsenbevk, Thank you for the Felder factory in-site. Two things; Can the show room run the machines? And we could have picked our colors?! Damn sales person never told me that was an option!

Re: Advice on dial indicator for checking run of a drill press/input on Novs Voyager Drill Press
In addition to the great advice received, I'd buy a point set with the indicator. They are not very expensive and come with 10-12 different tips. Most indicators use the same threads so the tips seem
