Re: K 700 S, Did Felder cheap out on the rip fence?
I had this bumpy issue too on the k700, i was able to get it pretty close after spending a lot of time. The k940 suffers this issue much less, the sheet steel table is beefier les twist in it and it

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
Jason, have you used unibond 1 for shop sawn? Hows the bleed through on commercial veneer like a white oak, crotch ect? Regards, Mark https://www.instagram.com/kessler_woodworks/?hl=en

If you're using the rip fence for much other than a bump stop in tandem with the crosscut fence you're not using your slider right! Jason Holtz J. Holtz Furniture www.jholtz.com 3307 Snelling Ave.

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
The go to veneer glue in our shop for flat work is Unibond 1. We used to use the Titebond Cold Press veneer glue but the solids settle out of it and are difficult to mix back up. The Unibond 1 does

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
I was burned really badly by the TB cold press glue. Will never use it again. I buy the large tubs of the PPR and it takes me about a year to finish one. I¡¯ve never had a problem with shelf life.

Re: K 700 S, Did Felder cheap out on the rip fence?
Hi Jay, Yeah it¡¯s really bad when I slide it across. Very disappointing for what these things cost. I keep looking at the construction of the underside with the support wheel and I don¡¯t see how

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
Fred, I will agree with you on veneer glues. I've never liked any of the Tightbond glues for veneer work. The worst glue I've ever tried for veneer work was Tightbond Cold Press Glue. I do use

Re: Moving new K700S
Retrying this photo post.... I bought a crown pallet jack to move the machine around but a JET would have been just as good. I used a skid steer - track loader to get the machine off the truck and

Re: Teaching da kiddos #sawmethods
Kids and table saws are a frightening combination. I taught my boys to ski, fish, shoot, and drive (my wife freaked when she saw my 4-year-old shifting gears for me as I drove my pick-up), but the

Re: K 700 S, Did Felder cheap out on the rip fence?
Repositioning the rip fence is my only disappointment with the K700S. In my case I hear one thud with movement when I transition between the cast top and steel support which are co-planer but the top

Re: K 700 S, Did Felder cheap out on the rip fence?
I am certainly disappointed by this discussion of the fence, and hope the fence on my K700S is good. One of the things I liked about the K700S is the fence, which looks so much like the Delta Unifence

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
Forgot to mention when I worked in the veneer dept. at Wall Goldfinger I believe we only used T2, we certainly never mixed glue and these were on boardroom tables 100k-200k and up in places like NYSE,

So I currently have a KF700S, a k3winner before that and an fathers old Unisaw before that. I have loved using my sliders and would never go back to a regular cabinet saw. Now, I also have two

Re: K 700 S, Did Felder cheap out on the rip fence?
Brian, I have the exact same "V" pad setup on my older k 700 s.? I bought it used and the fence was toed out way too much from the blade. I used paper shims on the left pad to get the fence rod in a

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
Guys, I use a bunch of different glues for different purposes. T2 is my general go to glue for interior stuff unless I want a darker glue line. Then I use T3 (for exterior as well). Both remain too

Titebond hide glue. Unless you need water resistance, its my favorite. It doesn¡¯t slide, really nice open time and reversible. Bill B

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
I was going to switch to t3 because I thought it produced a harder glue line (higher solids) which is preferable for commercial veneer, even though I have not had issues with t2 for 25ish years. These

Re: Everyday Glue Recommendation
TB III is the only PVA glue in my shop. I just don't see the need for the other types. I do have Rapid Fuze wood glue as well but TB III is used more.
