Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Regular drill bits will drill cast iron just fine, you have to go slow though, like 600-1000 rpm for 1/8¡± to 1/4¡± sized holes. No oil is needed, you can drill it dry, just blow the chips/dust out

Re: Oneida Supercell
We run Dynabrade x51v sanders with 3m cubitron paper and a few assorted vacuums. I wish I could rig the vacs to auto trigger but it¡¯s a highly effective system at catching dust and the sanders

Re: Oneida Supercell
It's a workplace culture issue on this project I'm looking at. I've already committed long ago to functional electric options in the festool system as well as the shop dust collection central system,

Re: Oneida Supercell
I agree with Jason. I have half a dozen Festool sanders combined with their dust collectors and I don't even bother wearing a dust mask or respirator. I don't have one, but I've heard Mirka is

Re: 16" 4 knife cutter block
Dave, Thanks for the idea, I hadn't considered it as an option. It is a very early machine running the twin Z section vee belts rather than the J9 Poly-vee belts so my options to change the cutter

Re: Colour Reference for Solid Green Paint 6/7 Series
Paul, I have to agree on the RAL paint matches. I too ordered some paint for my Format4 and the description on the invoice led me to many a google search. I ended up with RAL 5002 Ultra Marine Blue

Re: Oneida Supercell
Brett, I'd say the solution to your pneumatic sander dust collection problem is a different sander/abrasive combo. I'm running a Mirka Deros with Abralon or 3M Cubitron and sanding dust is almost

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Thanks, Any advice on how to drill holes in the fence housing? Like standard multi material drill bit but slow speed? Bill

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Chop saw, your felder table saw, a hacksaw, jigsaw, just about anything will work. You can start with smaller if that¡¯s what you think will work. It¡¯s just harder to add material than it is to

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Thanks Brian, I do not have a band saw, but I might be able to cut in down on the length with a hand saw as the housing is only 5 inches wide. Bill

Re: 16" 4 knife cutter block
If you don't find a head, consider swapping a pulley to speed up the two knife some. People run 4 knife heads with blanks on only two knives, often with carbide so changes are few. Two knife heads

Re: Oneida Supercell
I don't have experience with the super cell but I have a used Oneida V-System 2000 2HP cyclone with a 7" port that I'm selling because I upgraded to a larger whole shop system. I was happy using this

Re: Moving new K700S
I appreciate the comments. Steve, the bill of lading is quite informative. I may try to get the material home and into my garage before I figure out how to get it from there to my shop. I will

Hi Brian, unfortunately, my enquiries with Felder remain un-answered after some weeks so hence the post. Amazon will deliver a RAL colour chart tomorrow so I shall see what we can come up with as a

Re: Oneida Supercell
First post here for me. I have the super cell and am quite happy with it. I have a small hobby shop with multiple machines including Hammer A3-32 JP. Supercell works well with one machine at a time

I know I am probably better off going searching for either a unicorn or the loch ness monster but nothing ventured is nothing gained. If anyone has gone down the road of fitting a spiral head to a 16"

Re: Oneida Supercell
I do not own a supercell, but from the feedback I am getting on my woodworking Facebook group, it is an incredible tool if you only use it for one machine at the time. Apparently, it sucks so much

Maybe an email to Felder directly would yield an answer? I know they supplied me with some touch up paint when I bought my machines in 2001, the bottom of my wheelchair scratches the paint off on the

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
I would get 1/8¡° thick, and probably start with a piece of 1¡±x1¡± from Home Depot or Lowes, they sell it there. You can always cut it down on the length of the legs on the bandsaw if it¡¯s too
