Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
My guess is that I just caught a unlucky break with a motor that had some minor manufacturing defect in it that got worse over time. ?Talking to my EE friend, this should not usually happen in this

Re: Tannewitz Blade Guide choices

Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
Annu,
Thanks, that is all i wanted to confirm. Here is a good example of not to have any power on the motor. I am surprised they did that considering I see all 3 phases being switched in my saw. I

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
Unless you want to stop dust migration, you could leave it out. If you do want to stop dust, load some grease in the groove and between flange #3 and the bearing, probably not much room, but a little

Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
Hey Imran,
I thought of that too. ?But if that was the case, then the shaper and table saw would do the same thing when plugged in the motor connector that is for the planer position. ?However they

Thank goodness you are in Maine, and not Alabama! I have a K3 48 x48, and lust after a full length single phase slider.? If you were closer I'd have to figure out how to justify losing that much

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
Because I am running sealed bearings and I won¡¯t have grease in those cavities I was not going to put the rubber seal back in as it would be running dry against the shaft. Does that make

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
The inner seals are probably not too tightly sealed, any grease getting past them just fills the larger cavity. The outer nut next to the wheel, you really don¡¯t want grease migrating out of there

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
Interestingly the assembly used V-groove wick seals for two of the three seals but a more modern rubber seal on the shaft where the wheel mounts.

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
Got it. I knew the left was fixed as it was pinched on both the inner and outer. The right is only pinched on the inner so while the bearing location itself is fixed, the outer floats relative to

Re: Tannewitz Bandsaw Upper Bearing Question
OK, don¡¯t have any idea about proper terminology and deep groove or not really doesn¡¯t mean anything in this application. The left bearing is fixed in position because it is clamped into housing

Re: Felder High Speed Router Spindle 424-111
I have a 3/4 inch spindle that Felder made for me years ago as a part of my Kf700 pro. I never really used it since the knives just do not cut like the newer shaper knives. There is a reason they
