Re: Ten woodworking tools you have to see
David, Maybe I should not put Multi router in the same bucket with Leigh FMT which has a fundamental design shortcoming. I think Multi router will be around, but if woodpeckers do not make continuous

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
Sounds fully valued to me. Not insane, but you gotta really want what¡¯s there for it to make sense price wise. Could be an interesting transaction if you wanted to arbitrage the tooling. If I were

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
For all you guys that think this overpriced, would share why you believe that ? Can you get similar machines in your area for less? For less from a national used machinery dealer? Does the condition

Re: Ten woodworking tools you have to see
James, I got $50 that says the MultiRouter will still be around and selling in 5 years. It¡¯s a terrific system for joinery applications. PantoRouter looks like a toy to me in comparison. David Best

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
Id be interested in the stupid distometer too! Frankly, i could do with a fair amount of the tooling and blades in that cabinet. I still dont have a dado for my KF700, or adjustable groovers for the

Mike, Looks like Aigner fence plates. Not sure if it is important to you but does it have dado option? I have seen KF700 go for $10K w/o much in accessories. If there have not been significant changes

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
Dave, I see. Yes, the Shaper cutters are expensive if you buy brand new. 20k for 14 years old KF and AD is not a great deal, but 2k for the toolings is a good deal. James wrote:

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
The KF is the better deal depending on what are accessories and what is tooling but since most stuff goes with that machine, 12K for all of it is pretty decent. 14K might be a stretch but still way

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
Keep in mind it isn't $20K for just the KF. It's $22K for the KF, the AD, and a bunch of extra stuff. The extra "stuff" adds up quickly. I'd be surprised if the cost of all of the extras is less than

Re: KF700sp and AD741 used pricing
20K for a 14 years old KF700 is too much. I would buy a 22K Martin T-60 instead, then buy a used standalone shaper :) James

Mike, If you decide not to purchase...I'd be interested in seeing if I could purchase the Distometer from the seller. I sure hope this won't happen to my workshop when I pass... Thanks, Davve Davies

The tooling and the cabinet look to be a good deal. The machines are way overpriced. Dave ________________________________ Sent: Tuesday, January 5, 2021 10:41 AM To: [email protected]

After a quick look the KF700 and AD741 are in working order, appear to be in great condition with no rust or damage, but are in need of a cleaning. ?The slider is 9' (not 8') and operates very

Re: Ten woodworking tools you have to see
I actually talked to the previous owner of the Multi-router company, Lorraine Machine. He acquired the product to settle a debt that JDS owed him and he immediately raised the price to cover the debt.

Interesting. Woodpeckers start selling Multi-router, looks like Woodpeckers quietly bought the company that makes Multi router, cause Google search does not show that company (they bought JDS Multi
