last night i had difficulty feeding boards using the back half of the planer but no issues with feeding in the front half. the table is similarly clean. infeed roller looks good but the outfeed

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Imran, in order to switch from jointer to planer the planer table must be lowered to allow the dust hood to flip. I have to push and hold the down button until it¡¯s low enough. A minor inconvenience

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Bill, not following, ¡° I wish my 941 had a single button To lower the table enough to lift the top¡± when the jointer tables are lifted the planet table is already lowered. do you mean a single

Re: K975 under table dust extraction problem.
Hi David: This is a ¡°germane¡± response as probably more than some of us has had issues with the lower dust extraction hose ¡°popping off¡± just as Phil describes. Me included. Thank you for your

Re: Phase converter questions
Did they tell you what is a "qualifying voltage", or did they just ask what the voltage was? Consider the predicament that your situation creates.? Your voltage was 3.75% over nominal 240v. Felder

Re: Phase converter questions
Yes, I was just re-iterating/emphasizing that point for Bill, because it's not germane to his situation. He has a 240v supply that was a few percent over 240v at the time he measured it.

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Ok, so no urgent reason to try to swap my 941 for the 51 sounds like. The 16¡± table is plenty big enough for me. I was just wondering if there might be other convenience features. I wish my 941 had

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
i am not sure if there are internal mechanical differences but the biggest obvious one between dual51 and ad951 is the fence. i am only familiar with dual51 and the fence is stout. imran

Re: Phase converter questions
The different transformer taps are not to accommodate normal, within-spec voltage fluctuations.? They are to accommodate the common nominal voltages of 208, 220 and 240.

Re: Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter
Are there other reasons to get the Dual 51 over the AD941 other than the larger size? My salesperson never told me about anything other than the 741 and AD941 when I said I wanted a jointer planer

Mark, It was someone at Felder who said he wouldn¡¯t sent the commissioning tech unless I sent them qualifying voltage numbers signed off on by an electrician. Bill Belanger

Re: Phase converter questions
The control circuits inside the Felder machines run off 24VAC which is produced by a transformer off the mains supply. The positioning control boards run off 12VDC and 5VDC that are derived from the

Re: K975 under table dust extraction problem.
Phil, If your hose is the right length when the saw is at 45-degrees, and kinks when it¡¯s at 90-degrees, then you¡¯re using the wrong hose. Felder sells two types of flex-hose. One is light duty

michael, felder has a used 2019 dual51: https://www.world4machines.com/en-us/used-machines/jointer-planers-jointersplaners-c55426/format-4-dual-51-p371423# imran

+/- 10% is the NEMA standard for motors and has been forever, so not surprising Felder's docs would state that. Bill says "Felder" would not install saw, presumably he means the (ignorant) tech he

Re: Phase converter questions
I agree with Mark, Felder's stated tolerance is ¡À/¡ª10% of the machines rated voltage. See pic for excerpt from the typical manual. So for a 230V machine 253V on the high side and 209V on the low

Looking for a used J/P with spiral cutter

Mark, i agree Felder should be better designed (maybe it is and installer does not know) and should be able to not only work within standards but beyond them withstanding typical power line
