Re: Recommended pedestal drill press
I have a full size press on a roll around. Not close to a tipping problem. Can always add weight down low as well. I did this on a bandsaw base by pouring a small slab of concrete to lower cg.

Re: Recommended pedestal drill press
Dave,
My current Delta drill press is on a mobile base, I move it into the main area of the shop for use. I¡¯d be concerned that a new full size press would be too top heavy to roll around and I

Re: Recommended pedestal drill press
Tom,
Mobile drill press? Why would you need to have it mobile? All of my
tools can be moved around. I built a platform for mine so it can be moved
with my narrow fork pallet jack...but I never

If I understand their website, I believe you can get it as tabletop version. I¡¯m considering going this way so that it is mobile. Any thoughts.

Re: RL200 vs Cyclone style dust collector
See the clear vinyl hose? There's a valve to adjust open to equalize
pressure on both sides of liner to prevent the problem. Valve closed when
no liner to prevent a recirculating load.

belts would slip under load. No issues with this

I had a 3hp Oneida. It was ok but clunky to change out and was limited by bucket size. The RL takes up marginally more room but is 2-3x better on space efficiency and now I have racking above for

Wade like this?? I make the mount and shaft that twists and looks in the mount.
I also make a manifold for air distribution like a slider with quick connects .

Brian,
You did not mention the cyclone you are using.
For small shops the ClearVue cyclone is the best, safest, cleanest system available. Due to its superior design (developed by Bill Pence), I

Chris,
Another Arboga user here. ?It¡¯s 3 phase 440volt. ?We used a step up transformer (230-440v). ?It was
pre-owned and cheap. ?The gear head is smooth and the spindle alignment is perfect.
