Re: Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
I second Jason’s comment. I’ve been enjoying the router spindle. Like every tool you’ll learn when it’s not happy, and adjust. However once I get more space, if I find that I’m using smaller

Re: Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
I installed the aigner fence and that pushed the fence far enough away that the router bit bearing wouldn’t reach the workpiece. That was the issue I found.

Re: Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
It's the best router table I have ever used. It's flat, has a great fence
and dust collection, and even tilts if you need it to. Speed has never been
an issue. The router spindle likely costs about

Re: Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
Brian,
This has been discussed here in detail, so if you search you may find a thread with long discussion. I myself have run small round over bits in KF700 using router spindle with no ill effects.

Re: Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
I’m no expert, but a router table is a router table, and a shaper is a shaper.
There are table saws and chop saws, same analogy.

Thoughts on the Router Spindle for Felder shapers?
I am moving into a new shop soon. My old router table stayed at my previous
house so I either need to build a new one, or find a suitable replacement.
I have a KF700 with a great shaper already in

I keep a squirt bottle of mineral spirits handy for gummy runs - it does
dissolves the waxes and lubricants usually applied to the bed but it's way
slick and also keeps the resins on the wood

I took a look at the planer and as you all suspected it was pretty gummed up. I removed the chip deflector beside the cutter head which was covered in pine resin. I removed and cleaned the resin and

Just adding my agreement. I had the same trouble with my AD941 when I
first got it. Clean table and I use Bostik “GlideCote”. No trouble since.

I also clean the outfeed roller (which is textured steel in my case). It can get smooth with resin deposits.

Re: A3 41 Blade life

If you are waxing and still having problems clean the tables before waxing. Pine is heavy in resins and will gum up the works quickly. Use DNA or Acetone to clean, works for me.

I’m sure your blades are fine, you need to wax the planer bed or use Felder’s Super Glide spray.
