Here¡¯s how the measuring part attaches to the support. It seems like you¡¯ll probably just need to purchase some kipp levers and you should be able to make it work. I hear yah Dan, its too bad Felder doesn¡¯t offer that longer support table as a separate item anymore, or else I could use Bill¡¯s scale rod. ?I¡¯m going to order Lambs fence, most likely the analog log version. ?I trying to think if I¡¯d ever regret not getting the DRO version though. ?I have DRO¡¯s on my large crosscut fence already. ?So I would just use those to set the parallel fence.

To the guys that expressed interest in ordering an insert (Ed, Mike, Jared, Wade, John), they are done!? I routed a slot in each piece for the riving knife. One thing to keep in mind when installing the insert is first plunge the blade up without the riving knife to complete the slot. Then reinstall riving knife and you¡¯re good to go.? (Ask me how I came to realize that lol)?
Here¡¯s a link to Felder¡¯s version ($83.70 plus tax)? I¡¯m confident you guys won¡¯t be disappointed in these for almost 1/3 the price!?
Looks like there are other saws that this insert will fit. Namely: k700 series (not sure of the k740), k500 and k540 series, and Hammer K4.

The only time the platen gets removed here is for hogging off with a 60 grit belt. There's a 100 or 120 grit belt on the machine 95% of the time. I haven't measured the thickness difference between those belts and the 180, but it's not so great to cause excessive heat to be generated. Jason Holtz
