Re: FB610 bandsaw blade position on the wheels: in the middle or near the edge?
I follow Snodgrass's method on my 610. I tried the front of the wheel thing and it wouldn't cut straight. Using Alex's method it cuts straight. I find it easier to adjust the tracking than adjust for drift. Adjusting tracking allow the miter and other accessory to work as designed and provides good cuts with minimal fussing. The wheels are slightly crowned so blade placement on the wheel does effect the ability to cut straight. Play around with each method and see which works best for you.

Integrated adjustable rollers for AD 951 is a feature offered for the Felder 951. Anyone have experience with using this machine with and without this feature? It's
an upcharge of $750. I have always had such rollers on planers to date. It does adjust to zero if desired. Seems like a good option to have. Any insights?

Definitely not as easy to reconfigure the spiral compared to clamp together especially if you need to change something in the middle of a run, not sure if it¡¯s worth 4-5 times the cost of spiral though. Re: FB610 bandsaw blade position on the wheels: in the middle or near the edge?
I own a Felder FB 510 and have run my tyres centrally - without realising the profile is close to flat rather than crowned as some posters have pointed out. But I have experienced no issues. My understanding ?Is the flat profile allows wider blades to track reliably (Duginsky Bandsaw Book) Technically there appears to be no compelling reason to run the blade centrally on these Felder saws. Running the ?blade close to the edge makes sense - especially with course set ?teeth.

FB610 bandsaw blade position on the wheels: in the middle or near the edge?
I was curious about the recommendation here is.? I recently saw a video by Alex Snodgrass where he recommends positioning the blade gullet at the center of the wheels as it gets the most support under tension (this is for wheels that have a crown at the top).? Whereas the very limited documentation I see for Felder recommends positioning the blades so that the gullets are near the very edge of the wheel. Is it because the wheels are flat, instead of having a crown?
What's the recommended best practice for Felder bandsaws?? I would like to just position it in the center as it makes blade installation easy, but I worry about chewing up the rubber on the wheels or worse.
Thanks! Anil

Shims for Felder dado set
All
I currently have this , but misplaced the shims needed to adjust the dado width and can't seem to find a suitable replacement on the Felder website.? Does anyone know what would work best?? The closest I can see is for shaper slot cutters - but it does not say whether they would work with the dado set or not.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
