Hi SW,
Felder, like many other equipment suppliers don¡¯t want unqualified persons messing around with the guts of the machines while they are under warranty. ?It tends to unnecessarily complicate warranty issues.?
I encountered the same issue with the sticker covering the edge of the cabinet that houses the electrical components of my KF700SP. ?When faced with determining how to wire up the saw to avoid a mistake, I contacted Felder Tech Support. ?They gave me permission to access the electrical cabinet without voiding the warranty. ?Since they created a trouble ticket, I asked them to note in the trouble ticket documentation that they had given me permission to open the cabinet to verify it was the brown wire that was to be connected to the high voltage leg of my three phase power service. ?There was no further hassle.
I followed the same procedure when I wired up the new F900Z shaper and a power feeder for our local high school shop. ?Again, no hassle other than requesting permission and documentation.

?So my wiring is OK.? I remember talking to one of the Felder techs from Delaware back when I received my KF 700 SP and he said the same thing David posted.? I was about to open up my PP and trace all my extension cords to make sure my personal note is correct.? Thank you for the verification.
BUT, Felder does not want you to open the electronic cabinet without their permission otherwise, you void warranty.? My machines have stickers all over the electrical cabinet with such warning.? I've stayed clear of it.? At least, until the machines are out of warranty.
