Re: Outrigger issue
开云体育Peter,The video shows clamping action that occurs when outrigger kip lever is turned. You may want to look in there and see how it is not working when you adjust the mounting plate. Which may give you some insight. Imran Malik IAM Wood Creations On May 4, 2025, at 2:53?PM, Peter Tennyson via groups.io <pmtennyson@...> wrote:

Re: Wire and breaker size for 7.5HP 3 Phase Felder Shaper - NEC Code compliant

Starting with #10 rated to 30 amps, then you are required to derate to 80% of the largest motor load which brings you to 24 amps as the maximum. As you study the code book you will find various exceptions and requirements that can be interpreted in different ways, and playing dueling code books with other electricians and inspectors is a common pastime in the electrical trades, with some attempts to come up with some pretty outlandish theories and some sticking to the most common and down to earth paths. A safe and proper installation for the motor circuit would be #10 AWG CU on a 30 amp CB.
?
The second part of your question goes to sizing the feeder to the sub-panel and you don't provide enough information to calculate that but a 40 amp circuit seems pretty low, and the reference to C16 breakers is incomprehensible to me, but maybe there is some magic somewhere at Felder. |
Re: K700 LCD issue
Yeah, I had that a few years back. They sent me a new controller which was straight forward to install, but had to be re-programmed once in the machine. The programming instructions didn’t work for me, and they sent a technician. Didn’t work for him either. They finally ended up on the phone with Austria to get it working.

The blue LEDs are prone to failure, so now I have red. I don’t expect there are quick fixes for this.? |

Re: Wire and breaker size for 7.5HP 3 Phase Felder Shaper - NEC Code compliant
开云体育Here are the currents of various Felder 3 ph motors from my machines as a reference but wiring should be done based upon the motor rating. My 5.5KW (7.4HP) 3 ph machine label says 24A. So I have it on a 30A circuit breaker. It may run on C16 (16A) but you should consult your electrician as it likely will not meet the local code and in case of a fire the insurance may not pay up due to code violation. Re: K700 LCD issue
开云体育Hi Joe,It is hard to tell from pic if you caught it during refresh. I helped a member who had a bad display on planer. I checked voltages, Crystal, clock and looked for obvious bad parts but in the end there was nothing I could do to fix it. I would call felder and get a replacement. His machine was much older and he was still able to get a replacement. I don’t think it was overly expensive. If it was my machine I would check incoming voltage to the display board to be sure that it is in check. I don’t not think the encoder input being bad would result in an erratic segment display but those areas can be cleaned. Re: Nova Viking Performance and Experience
I would like to commend Grizzly to have done the right thing and pay for the extended warranty as their customer service had told me. This is not the first time Grizzly has impressed me. They were equally good on my 12” disc sander. They sent replacement disc and table as they were not flat.

开云体育Netanel,Well that is how it is intended to be used.?Aigner products are usually well thought out.?Download the Aigner catalog. It has a lot of pictures showing how to use the product. I would just check the fence profile to verify it is compatible with wherever the hole/tap/insert (as David mentioned) needs to be. I was just thinking about why I wouldn’t just drill and tap the rip fence.
Besides having a hole in the fence, that is perfect solution.
