It is hard to tell from pic if you caught it during refresh. I helped a member who had a bad display on planer. I checked voltages, Crystal, clock and looked for obvious bad parts but in the end there was nothing I could do to fix it. I would call felder and get a replacement. His machine was much older and he was still able to get a replacement. I don¡¯t think it was overly expensive.
If it was my machine I would check incoming voltage to the display board to be sure that it is in check. I don¡¯t not think the encoder input being bad would result in an erratic segment display but those areas can be cleaned.
