Hi John,
If I could have bought a 3D printed holder for my rip fence and xcut fence for about $100, I would not have ventured in this direction. I also like things that look nice not that a wooden box can¡¯t meet this requirement.
I really had no interest in doing this but there are people who would not order DROs from Ali Express, have no interest in fiddling with a bracket or making a box. So hopefully these people will have an option now.

I used mine in conjunction with a single parallel fence, so being able to get closer to the saw blade without fooling around with spacer blocks is helpful. It does leave a short zone near the end of the cross-cut fence without a stop, but that has yet to be an issue for the way I work.

Now that I have a new saw with the Felder DRO on the rip fence I will have to find a way to deal with the left-side flip stop. It stops 8.15¡± from the blade. I have some ideas for a spacer that will travel with the flip stop, but have yet to try those ideas out.

I designed and 3D printed a housing for the folks that wanted the Faima DRO unit on their rip fences. I guess I can supply those, It uses a couple of nuts to lock into the housing and a rubber o-ring under it to apply some rotational friction so you can aim the unit as you desire. I don't really want to get involved in making the bracket to hold the read head as the Felder housings vary quite a bit depending upon machine and year. It's a simple bracket, but a bit too much design and develop to be able to charge maybe $30 for the bracket. It would be different if i had every variation on hand to do the work... but that's not going to happen.

Brian is right that my offering does not help with Felder flipstop issues. If that is your issue then you can purchase his DRO flipstop. I whacked my Felder flipstop with a dead blow hammer into submission - repeat at your own risk though.
Anyhow, my reason for doing this is to offer a product at a very different price point so more users can take advantage of it. There is no free lunch, lower cost means that it would require some care. I believe it is fine for a hobby shop. Replacing damaged parts should not be an issue though.
The biggest advantage of the DRO is quick adjustment and replication that is just not possible with OEM scale. Few days ago, I changed blades and cut a piece at 10¡± setting on DRO. The cut piece measured 10.023¡±. Moved the DRO 0.023¡± to the right and reset it. Done.
Here is the actual 12¡± long test piece I cut afterwards. Obviously, this is possible with any DRO and I like having this ability, whether needed or not.

I have owned both the mirka 6¡± deros and 3x5 deos rectangle sander. Ended up selling both of them in favor of the Ekasand 3x4 and 6¡±. My main shop sander is now a 6¡± festool, the 6¡± Ekasand is used as a loaner, backup and for buffing oil finishes. ?My main reason for selling the deos 3x5 and getting an Ekasand 3x4 is simply because it was more compact and fit into tighter spaces. I love using this little sander, which was purchased over a Festool. Mine is the lowest sander in vibration I use used, and the dust control is the absolute best (used with Mirka mesh and a Festool vacuum).?

Thank you for your feedback. I am actually using the short crosscut fence on my F700Z, not on the saw, so crosscutting is not the issue, I definitely need a fence and the ability to clamp down pieces square to the travel of my slider. I will tinker with the idea and hope to find a solution that will work at least for my needs. I was also thinking to overcome the short distance (between the pivot and 90 degree stop) by using the Felder sliding table extension which uses the p-channel as a reference and would increase the distance between the points. Just trying to work as much as possible with off the shelf components to improve the situation without commissioning a shop to machine parts to extremely tight tolerances.?

It is my view that the short distance between the pivot point of the fence and the 90¡ã stop is a significant contributor to the design weakness overall. If you have ideas on how to implement a second registration stop that flips out of the way for miter operations, then I think you should pursue that idea. ? Personally, I think a well executed Fritz & Franz jig is a better approach as a short cross fence for 90¡ã crosscut operations. ?And for mitered crosscut operations, if the long crosscut fence on the outrigger table is too cumbersome then I consistently recommend purchasing a DGL or EGL accessory. ??
