Re: Maverick Abrasives

I keep getting their ads in my feed. Never heard of them before. I'm currently using ZK713X zirconia alumina belts from VSM and they are great. So much longer lasting than anything else we've tried with the exception of ceramic which is a significant?jump in price.

If you have an adjustable height table like a Fat 500 or Barth bench, you can do it with one person. ?Details of how I do it including videos are here:

How difficult is installation of the sliding table on a K700S?

I will have Felder commission my new saw, which will have the 3200 mm table. The salesperson says this includes installing the sliding table. The user manual, however, recommends getting two or three helpers to assist with installation of the sliding table. That seems like a disconnect, since it is unlikely that Felder will send three guys to set up my saw.

I¡¯m just curious what other people have experienced.

Thanks!

You will need sawhorses or something to put it on at the height of the bolts even with 2-3 people, it needs to be threaded onto the bolts?

Re: Sliding Table Installation

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I have installed the 3200mm slider by my self. I used a ceiling winch to lift back end and handled the front (threading into chassis bolts). It is very doable by 2, if you have a hydraulic lift table or as Mark mentioned saw horses that can be adjusted to appropriate height.

YMMV,

Looking for Automatic Edgebander Recommendations

Hi guys, I¡¯ve long been toying with the idea of investing in a new automatic edgebander. I¡¯ve done extensive research on different brands, specs, price points, and have narrowed down a few key requirements. Figured you guys would be a great place to go for some info.?

First, I¡¯d like a pre-milling unit
Second, I¡¯m looking for around 50mm or 2¡± height capacity for floating shelving I do a lot of (the Felder maxes out at 45mm or 1.75¡±)

I don¡¯t do a lot of pvc or vinyls, mainly solid wood strips and wood tape so corner rounding is not a necessity.?

Currently I¡¯ve narrowed it down to 2 units: A Felder G360, and a CEHISA Compact S machine.?

The CEHISA machine has 8-60 mm capacity which is really nice to have. Meanwhile the Felder has 10-45 mm capacity which is pretty common on branders in this price range of $25k +\-.

Here¡¯s a link to a CEHISA from Capital Woods Machinery in Florida. I have had a great experience purchasing my Timesaver Speedsander 43¡± wide belt from them.?

Attached is a file for a G360 quote to compare specs for those interested.?
