Re: Maverick Abrasives
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI use maverick abrasives in my 43¡± wide belt. They are better than some other brands I¡¯ve used. Great belt life.? On Feb 15, 2022, at 2:15 PM, Brian Lamb <blamb11@...> wrote:

Re: Maverick Abrasives
I keep getting their ads in my feed. Never heard of them before. I'm currently using ZK713X zirconia alumina belts from VSM and they are great. So much longer lasting than anything else we've tried with the exception of ceramic which is a significant?jump in price.

Sounds like a variety of experiences. I¡¯ll ask the Felder service planning people for clarification. I don¡¯t want to be building sawhorses and/or running around town trying to rent a hoist or pallet jack while the technician is cooling his heels.

Re: Sliding Table Installation
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have installed the 3200mm slider by my self. I used a ceiling winch to lift back end and handled the front (threading into chassis bolts). It is very doable by 2, if you have a hydraulic lift table or as Mark mentioned saw horses that can be adjusted to appropriate height. ?How difficult is installation of the sliding table on a K700S? I will have Felder commission my new saw, which will have the 3200 mm table. That seems like a disconnect, since it is unlikely that Felder will send three guys to set up my saw. I¡¯m just curious what other people have experienced. Looking for Automatic Edgebander Recommendations
Hi guys, I¡¯ve long been toying with the idea of investing in a new automatic edgebander. I¡¯ve done extensive research on different brands, specs, price points, and have narrowed down a few key requirements. Figured you guys would be a great place to go for some info.? First, I¡¯d like a pre-milling unit Currently I¡¯ve narrowed it down to 2 units: A Felder G360, and a CEHISA Compact S machine.? The CEHISA machine has 8-60 mm capacity which is really nice to have. Meanwhile the Felder has 10-45 mm capacity which is pretty common on branders in this price range of $25k +\-. Here¡¯s a link to a CEHISA from Capital Woods Machinery in Florida. I have had a great experience purchasing my Timesaver Speedsander 43¡± wide belt from them.? |

I have one on my bandsaw and it¡¯s great! Of course it reads minus in this situation but its very easy to zero to make an adjustment. Bill Belanger On Sun, Feb 13, 2022 at 12:44 John Hinman <jhinman1911@...> wrote: How good are the aftermarket DRO? It looks like a Wixey is $120 for a fence. |
