Re: Bump Stop Rip Fence and Saw Kerf line-up - What's your preferred practice?

Jonathan,?
?????????? Thanks for the tips. I'm new to the full sized sliding table so all these tips are helpful. I'm trying to do all my cutting to the left of the blade, it seems to have the potential to be the most accurate and safe method. |

Re: Bandsaw tires FB510
I believe the easiest way is to get the tire on first. Then you can peel back and squirt or spread the adhesive and work your way around.

Re: Bandsaw tires FB510
? ? ?The tire problem is back. I installed the new tires from Felder. They were much tighter than the originals. Very little use since then. Beginning of December the tires came off. Top and bottom. sent e-mail to Felder support. Received a prompt response. They are sending new tires again and said the recommend? all tires to be glued on.?
? ? ? They recommend a 3m contact adhesive. What is the best way to get the tires on using contact adhesive? I do not want to fight the tires bonding. Any good suggestions. ? |
Re: I have a question. Maybe easy for some but I have the Hammer K3 sliding table saw. I just bought the angle display gauge that Felder sells. Does anyone know how to adjust the gauge. Maybe some pictures of how to adjust. Thanks Doug
######## sorry I found out . I found a video on the A3-31 planer height gauge. Sorry again. Doug

Re: door building advice
Would love a copy of the cnc files for the torsion table too. Mine is not big enough to do in one pass, but I think I can index and move the panels to do it in two.
Drew, can you upload to this group, or alternatively email? gen at mcclement dot co dot uk (converted into computerspeak!) |
Re: door building advice
You should be able to post the CAD file in the folders section of the forum. Dave Davies On Fri, Dec 11, 2020 at 11:33 AM Elwin Kershaw via <elwinkershaw=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Would you buy a combo Shaper/Saw?
Shinta,
4hp. It was a long process.? I have a 20x20 shop.? This already is just a huge luxury purchase for me.? The addition of a $3500 Phase perfect 3 phase converter was put against do I need more power (I was told by many people that rotational phase converter and power drive do not mix well).? I do not feel like I will need more power in the TS, I have a 5hp Laguna TSS and never even have taxed it.? I agree that more power is a benefit for the shaper.? I have worked with 5hp and 3hp shapers in the past.? I will just have to run slower for some of the larger cuts. I am also sensitive to the sound the PP creates, and wasn't really excited about mounting it outside. My Oneida is single phase (3hp), my AD941 that is coming soon is single phase (4hp), my 37" double drum sander is single phase (7.5hp)... Long story short, I spent lots of hours with pros and cons...? decided to stick with single phase. PK?? |

Re: VIP Program from Felder
开云体育I used the EGL to miter glass beads for windows. ?The profile of the glass bead was too small to clamp so I held them with my fingers. ?Also, since the miters were almost always 45 degrees I made a fritz/franz piece to slide in the slot and hold the workpiece. ?This worked well.I hardly ever used the stops as most of the glass beads were being cut to a mark and then trimmed for a precise fit so the extensions were not that useful to me. ? The EGL calculator is is not worth spending money on as all it does is calculate the the miter angles for pieces of different width. ? In the photo you can see the workpiece holder and a backer block. ?The backer block made lining up to trim a tiny amount from the end of glass bead very easy and prevented blowing the grain out. ? For some small pieces the groove in the face of the EGL fence could cause an issue if the small workpiece tipped into the groove. ? I made a bracket to hold the EGL when not in use. ?It takes quite a lot of space to store so having the bracket saves a lot of space and makes it easier to grip and move the EGL to the slider. Since selling my entire shop and moving to a place with a small shop on location with a cabinet saw I really miss the sliding table saw and the EGL/DGL. ? Joe
