James,
It's hard to quit.?
I have access to a small shop where I moved and use it to make things that my wife needs for her studio but mainly I am done with woodworking.

Joe,?
I thought you quitted the woodworking.? Now, start again ?
James
I used the EGL to miter glass beads for windows.? The profile of the glass bead was too small to clamp so I held them with my fingers.? Also, since the miters were almost always 45 degrees I made a fritz/franz piece to slide in the slot and hold the workpiece.? This worked well.
I hardly ever used the stops as most of the glass beads were being cut to a mark and then trimmed for a precise fit so the extensions were not that useful to me. ?
The EGL calculator is is not worth spending money on as all it does is calculate the the miter angles for pieces of different width. ?
In the photo you can see the workpiece holder and a backer block.? The backer block made lining up to trim a tiny amount from the end of glass bead very easy and prevented blowing the grain out. ?
For some small pieces the groove in the face of the EGL fence could cause an issue if the small workpiece tipped into the groove. ?
I made a bracket to hold the EGL when not in use.? It takes quite a lot of space to store so having the bracket saves a lot of space and makes it easier to grip and move the EGL to the slider.
Since selling my entire shop and moving to a place with a small shop on location with a cabinet saw I really miss the sliding table saw and the EGL/DGL. ?

EGL vs. DGL -? I had questions, but have to give a big shout of THANKS that the search feature answered them all - thanks previous group discussions!
One question I haven't seem answered was - how easy is it to use clamps on the stock?in them? I have felder OEM pneumatic clamps, but does anyone want to share any issues locating clamps in conjunction with the EGL or DGL jigs?
