Re: Helping friend determine value of kf700 pro 2002
Thanks so much for the feedback. I think there is just The apprehension of going from something I know (cabinet saw)to a new way of working with a machine like the Felder. I will be able to work with

Re: Ebay: Felder KF700S w/DROs, Aigner Fence, Bowmouldmaster, PF, shaper tooling and two dado blades
If I can disassemble, reassemble and calibrate a complete K975 with a 10¡¯ slider with David¡¯s survival guide and help from FOG then anyone should be able to do so with the added video. I have not

Guys and Gals: If you have not viewed this video then do yourself a favour and do so. I just watched it in full and recognised many parts from previous videos that David has shared over the years. But

Re: Helping friend determine value of kf700 pro 2002
Keith, Brian¡¯s estimate seem pretty overvalued to me. Considering the fact that it¡¯s a pre-X-Roll 8-foot slider, single trunion mechanism, etc, I would have put the value at $4K to $4.5K. David

Re: Helping friend determine value of kf700 pro 2002
Keith I¡¯ve got a 2003 and beyond the comment about table length (and the obvious - its got a shaper), the other significant changes I found when I made the move to slider from cabinet, was no more

Re: Helping friend determine value of kf700 pro 2002
Slider vs. cabinet saw is a no brainer, the quality of work goes up considerably and the speed that you can complete it drops dramatically. The safety factor on a slider is worth considering too, with

Re: Any experts on 3 phase power issues?
Oops, Imran pointed out that I accidentally stated point #2 backwards. When you swap L1 and L2 on the any motor, if the current measurement at the panel current meter remains the same (L2 is 80%)

Re: Helping friend determine value of kf700 pro 2002
Thank you so much. I will look at the slider to verify the size. I am just in the process of determining whether or not to get a song like this in place of my cabinets. I am a hobbyist bud appreciate

Re: Any experts on 3 phase power issues?
Joe, one thing that is confusing is that when you first reported this issue in June, you measured: "With leg A I get 20A leg B 15A and leg C 19A...?also I have two other 3 phase machines that run and

Re: Any experts on 3 phase power issues?
Thanks Brett, one other data point, my single phase loads, (lights, pool pump part of the day, and 5 Ton heat pump are maybe 30A and I have a 600A service. There is maybe 0.1V drop when those are

Joe, Okay, between your reply and Mark Thomas's earlier reply, my next thoughts are that the voltage differential is likely the transformer impedance correction lugs. Chances are they made some

Re: Any experts on 3 phase power issues?
How are you measuring current?? ?You're running a single motor (eg, 3P saw) with no load, and you have a clamp meter that you sequentially place on the three lines coming out of the breaker?

Re: 3 Phase to 1Phase conversion - braked motors
Well, simplest is a single phase motor on a switch, won¡¯t have a brake, but plenty of bandsaws haven¡¯t ever had brakes. Next simplest is to use a VFD to run a three phase motor, you might need a

Re: 3 Phase to 1Phase conversion - braked motors
Brian, Mostly because I am not really up to date on machine electrics and I tend to keep electronics to a minimum in the workshop. Thanks for the pointer I will investigate more tomorrow.

Re: 3 Phase to 1Phase conversion - braked motors
My question is why? A VFD will get you three phase and braking and eliminate any existing wiring on the machine. I just don¡¯t understand what you are trying to do... Brian Lamb blamb11@...
