Re: Auto Start DC only works if you remember to turn power on ?
Hope you put your respiratory mask on, I never forget the DC for the planner yet, but I have done so on the table saw and the Dylos went to the roof, Bill

Re: Shutter louver
Extremely well done, I would love to have those in my house. I am sure during summer months in my house with shutters closed during 10am to 2pm, would cool house down considerably and look great.

I made my own control arms, and then I was able to get the staples close to just right, and if I wanted them to go in further, I could get that with a light touch of a hammer. ?That could have been

I¡¯m positive Mac posted a good source... only 124k parts/tools to sift through. My choice would be to go buy an inexpensive socket and cut it down to make it fit that application. Doesn¡¯t look

Re: Auto Start DC only works if you remember to turn power on ?
DC is not running but VFD has power. When a machine turns on, the current sensor closes a relay which grounds the VFD 24 VDC signal. That causes VFD to provide 3 phase power to DC turning it on. I

Re: Auto Start DC only works if you remember to turn power on ?
Mac, I have that setup. Every machine starts the DC automatically but I had the power to VFD off. DC runs of the VFD. I could automate the VFD as well but I think I want something left for my brain

Re: Auto Start DC only works if you remember to turn power on ?
Use a current sensor that starts a starter and loop one leg of each tools thru it , I can figure it out and I am at first grade level so electrical engineers ought be able to figure it out.

Oh yeah, I recall someone doing that years ago. My new old machine has the dial in the handwheel, so I would have to add some kind of a readout. Something better than a wixey. -- Former member

Great! Thank you all for the input. I had bought a castle nut wrench or spanner wrench previously but it appears that the nut on the saw arbor is recessed and may require a socket. McMaster sells them
