Re: Start Capacitor Value
开云体育JM, Thanks for the feedback. I suspect the same, i.e., label has the start cap value. Not sure why the field name “cond” - likely stands for conditioning. Not sure know what else could it be. Anyhow, I thought the person at laguna would be able to confirm on phone but no such luck, need to wait for the tech dept to respond. Mine is a two wire leaded, without terminals. I have found similar sized ones on the sites i have ordered from before however the dia is 45mm vs 50mm. So still looking. I had checked newark but not the other site you sent so will check them out. BTW, polypropylene caps are more robust (usually specified for run caps) but I try to use them for start cap as well. I was hoping to get a confirmation by end of day yesterday. I think it is low risk to order it based upon label value but I may wait till monday. Imran? On Jan 16, 2021, at 8:04 PM, jjmotzi <john.motzi@...> wrote:

Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
开云体育They are part of the outer motor housing extrusion. I would check with Felder and if they are ok with it, clamp it to a solid flat surface before you install it and see if you can pull the flanges back flat without breaking anything. If it works, then it’s up to you if you want to finish installing it, if they crack, Felder will have to get you another motor, and who knows how long that will take.

Annu, what is the frame size of the motor?? It looks like the feet are aluminum.? If steel I would just bend them back.? Aluminum might break but I'd look for a different source if the frame is a standard IEC metric motor.? I also assume the slot in the shaft
is what is sloped or you could just swap or buy a new key.? I've not seen sloped keyways in a shaft so it is something new to me.? Dave

Well...i'm seriously frustrated now....the new motor that was sent has a different motor shaft key than the original motor.? The new motor's key is like a ramp and the old motor's key is flat.? So now i can't fit the belt pully onto the new motor.? Additionaly,
when i got the new motor off the foam padding it was sitting on in the shipping box, i realized that mounting bracklets are both bent.? so even if I could have put the pully on the motor, there was no way that I would have been able to install and allign it.?
Now i will have to rerent the pallet jack and trailer to bring it home whenever Felder addresses this.? I've attached some pictures below.? In the picture of the new motor, the old motor is on the top and the new motor is on the bottom.? You can clearly see
that the old motor's brackets are nice and flat and the new motor's brackets are not.? I'm assuming that they are not supposed to be like that and bent into shape during bolting.? All i want to do is relax in my workshop and make some damn furniture.....
Annu PS...i did confirm the ground short on the original motor after I removed the wiring harness. |

Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
开云体育Too bad. The bracket looks like AL, if that was the only item, I probably try to straighten it but key being welded is a non starter. I have not worked with a lot of motors but I have seen the ramp on the end of key trench (perhaps due to milling) but the key sat flat and the groove on the pulley is flat. If i understand you correctly the key projection from shaft is ramped. I am curious if that is intended or an error. Imran On Jan 16, 2021, at 6:51 PM, annu.marwaha@... wrote:

Re: Hammer C-31 Planer Issue - Motor Triping
开云体育Hi Annu, I feel your frustration. I am sure this is already considered but can the brackets be transferred from old to new motor? I am not sure how the pulley is retained on the shaft but could the key be cut to the length that matches the flat portion of the slot or a new shorter key purchased. Key material is fairly common. I am assuming the new motor is designed to work with shorter key. Imran On Jan 16, 2021, at 6:25 PM, annu.marwaha@... wrote:

Re: Turn table drawing.
开云体育There are maybe 10 turntables in th UK , sods law that one of them gets listed less than an hour before I ask the question.
If had the space I would buy it and keep both, but unfortunately I don't and wont for the foreseeable future. (ever) I have emailed the seller to see if he has the original documents for it and will wait and see. The original plate had slots in it for BF, KFS and K type machines in multiple length variations, so its easy to get the mounting wrong. Can work out from the pictures on ebay why its on the turntable. Don't know if it is what you mean or indeed will be any help. But there is a listing on e-bay UK with a panel saw with a turntable.? Never seen one before, but thought I would mention it. Regards, Mark. |

开云体育This is for a three-phase but looks as if it fits what you’ve got. ?I think you can ignore it since the C3-31 has it built-in already.
