Re: Dealing with woodworking machine companies - Harvey
Interesting; I say nice things about Harvey and the thread immediately circles back to the frustration with Felder? I should have started my message with the title as "Harvey, Dealing with...", except

Re: Dealing with woodworking machine companies - Harvey
True, but a 50A continuous load must have a breaker larger than 50A because of the 80% rule (there are special breakers rated for 100% load, but they aren¡¯t what you¡¯d put in your home power box),

Re: Dealing with woodworking machine companies - Harvey
I guess Felder manual was written for a 3 phase machine in Europe. The max current draw is different between a single phase and 3 phase motor. For example, 28 amp for 5hp (230v) single motor, 15.2 amp

Re: Dealing with woodworking machine companies - Harvey
I don¡¯t understand some products¡¯ strange electrical factors. Prior to my Felder, I had a 5HP SawStop which ran at about 19 amps, which clearly requires #10 wire and a 30A breaker, however the

Re: RL125 Collecting Chips in Back Right Corner
From what I read on Internet they do offer a solution for chips/dust lodged in the main filter pleats: antistatic filter. I am not sure how it works, but I guess if this is like antistatic hoses, dust

Re: RL125 Collecting Chips in Back Right Corner
Thanks Bill. I really think that they should have a cheap throw away pre filter. That would prevent the chips from getting lodged in the main filter pleats. My homemade air scrubber has a 2¡¯x2¡¯

Cannot really help here, However, on my RL140, I have some dust coming down when I pull the cart, mostly from the side where you have the inlet. It should correspond to your back right corner. Just a

RL125 Collecting Chips in Back Right Corner
So I have been using RL125 for few months now. It is an older (2003) machine that I bought used. When I pull the drum to change the bag there is always a load of chips, that collect in the back right

45k CAD$ is 35K US$ based on the current exchange rate. I doubt Kappa 400 with the 12 foot sliding table would cost that much. When I bought my KF700sp in 2016, I recall Kappa 400 was 30K+ CAD$ plus

Rarely see nice Felder machines from Canadian shops on Machinery Max. I think the brand new Kappa 400 is 30k+ CAD$ plus tax. Just wondering why the shop sells this one year old CNC saw. James
