There is indeed a design flaw with the Felder 1100mm short crosscut fence relating to 90-degree registration consistency. ? Felder techs are notorious in their finger-pointing. ?Some Felder showrooms have installed the upgrade kit that I designed and manufactured for a while, which at least to me indicates that the well informed sales managers know first hand that the design is flawed. ?I suggest you watch the first few short videos at the following link:
This fix for the design flaws is not just a T-nut, but requires modification of the coupling components to install a precision bushing and modifications to the clamping Kipp lever.

That was before 1 hour of trying, turning 3 sheets of 2'x4' into 100 pieces of 1"? wide strips.? He got it very close twice.? Both times, I loosened the fence and put it back to try it again and it was off.? ?In the end, I told him to stop trying, I was running out of 2x4 sheets anyways.? I will just (a) keep trying myself (b) get the upgrade kit first.?

In any case, I may try to set up the fence and reinstall just to see for myself.? I guess I only have a day or 2 before the group buy ends.? Also, I wonder if the F&F jig will be sufficient for what I need.? But I hate to waste the money I just spent on this option.

At least he gave me some pointers on the AD941 calibration that were useful, I got it done last night, so I guess that's reasonable trade off.??

I will try to confirm ASAP if I need to buy this kit as well.??
