Re: Fixing Felder X-roll short cross cut fence T-nut - AKA group buy of improved T-nut

Thank you Netanel.
?
David mentioned on his Flickr video, regarding this upgrade, that probably 9 out of 10 1100mm cross-cut fences do not register accurately each time they are put on, taken off, put on again…etc. ?I’m definitely in the “9” group! ?I took sometime this morning to run through four setups. ?Removing the fence completely each time, just to see where my setup was. ?Attached picture showing the results.
?
** Sorry David Best, plywood method here. ?
?
You can see the results were all over the place with the various dimensions. ?
So Netanel count me in for a single set up. ?I’ll ship my aluminum block to you when needed.

As for the flip stop not being offered for the single setup order, I’m hoping you could reconsider. ?Reason being is two fold. ?David mentioned the single adjustment screw in the newly designed flip stop is a much easier?experience. ?Versus messing around with two points to go back and forth each time to get things dialed in. ?And second point, aesthetically, it just looks great! ?See the comparison pictures.

Two more questions to the group regarding the 1100mm cross-cut fence:

1. What accuracy tolerances are you guys living with on this set up? ?My cuts were an 18” length. ?
?
2. There really is no way to index this fence to lock in from a side to side movement is there? ?Such as how the larger cross-cut fence is set up with a pin on my K700S. ?With how it’s removed, you have to loosen both Kipp levers and the aluminum mounting blocks just slide back and fourth losing their?locations. ?Am I thinking about that correctly?
?
Thx,
?
Wade
