Like JoelGelman's T27, my TF-130 has two sets of pin locations for the hood.
?
The primary pin locations are optimized for using shaper tooling and the fence plates won't retract any further than the face of the spindle shaft.?
?
The secondary pin locations are located in such a manner that the fence plates can be positioned several inches behind the center line of the spindle, allowing through-milling such as dovetails:?
?
As Joel and others have suggested, your best option would be to drill two new/additional holes to index your hood assembly in a second location.?
