I am curious what your final solution will be.? I have a 2003 CF731 combo with 3 motors.? I dread the day that I burn up an obsolete control component.??
Instead of 2 separate VFD's, a single unit and barrel selector switch might be an option.? Switching could be done with load power off but line power on.? You loose the ability to tune individual start/stop ramp times for the saw and shaper but could size and set for the heaviest load.? You would need adjust speed between uses of the 2 motors.??
I looked at a similar application before inflation hit and could buy a 5-hp Yaskawa, switches and enclosure for under $1000.? Prices have really shot up and deliveries on some like Allen Bradley are out 6 months.
