WRT Lucky's comment on Z - axis ( cutting into endgrain on longer pieces) I was having a far too large scrap rate- then I got the Rangate saw blade for my shaper and, Mac- clamped to the slider, it's far more accurate and repeatable. Only downside is depth of cut.
