Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I could own a saw like this.? I was dreaming about the KF700SP, but this thing is downright amazing.
Many of you inspired me to keep looking...
2016 Format 4 kappa 400 x-motion 10hp with automatic scoring in close to new condition.
Started my Friday with 2 of my sons (16 year old triplets) at 5:30am with a truck and a tilt trailer.? Got to the seller in AZ just after 11am.? We looked it over, tested all of the functions and then we began strategizing on how to get it on the trailer.? Then it started to rain...? ?Total fiasco, I was praying it would stop.? The trailer was soaked and we got ready to lad and my prayers were answered, the rain stopped!? Got it on the tilt trailer (drop deck not have fit the footprint of the Format 4 kappa 400 x-motion) strapped down, accessories wrapped and stowed into the truck.? We used lots of towels, shrink wrap, bungee cords, and 3000 pound ratchet straps.? Finshed it off with a huge tarp.? Left the seller @ 12:45pm or so, got stuck in a? construction closure.? Had to re-fuel.? we got on the road @ 1pm ish.?
We kept it at 55mph the whole way home (slow , but the law in CA)? stopped 5-6 times to re-wrap, adjust etc..? Got a quick bite and re-fueled right before arriving at home @8:40pm.? We got the saw off the drop deck and into the shop and all the rest of the accessories and closed the garage door @10pm.
My boys were champs for the 16 plus hour round trip, load and unload!?
The seller was amazing and totally helpful.??
We will detail the saw today and re-arrange the shop to fit the beast.
I am on vacation now and will have to wait to power her up when the Phase Perfect shows up mid August...
Going to need to sell my Laguna TSS now...? and figure out how to re imagine the space to make my new kappa fit.? I will have 2 weeks to strategize with my dad while the family is on vacation together.
We will be at AWFS on Tuesday.? Attempt to see if we can fit a shaper in this shop.? Cancelled my KF700SP order, so hopefully someone else will get a machine quicker!
