How many blades do you have? I really need to add a 300mm to my arsenal. I only have two 350mm from the original owner of my machine. I love the cut capacity, but its annoying you cant?drop the blade below the table when you go to?use the shaper. Same for joinery cuts, the blade cant go down less than 3/8"+/- above the table.?

Depending on where you are in the world, I think Dynamic Saw in Buffalo does nice work. If you have 6+ blades, you might want to sell some and have the rest re-sharpened. As a hobbyist, I cant?imagine needing so many redundant tooth configuration blades. I send my stuff out about once a year, and typically just before i go on vacation. Within a week or two, i have the fresh blades back and i never missed them while i was away.?

considering environmental impact i have spent more or same money as replacement to continue to reuse. replacing most of the metal frame on my trailer was one such an exercise.

I wonder if a place like Goodwill will take saw blades that have life left. Granted 30mm european bore is not common.

I agree with Micheal.??

I used to have Leitz sharpened my blade, excellent service and price. CAD 15$ for 48 teeth Felder blade. Leitz guy told me the Felder blade can be sharpened about 10 times.

Now I go to Royce-Ary Cutting Tools, I have had Felder and Festool Kapex blades sharpened, excellent too, cause Leitz closed the branch in my area.

I would not throw away the carbide blade without sharpening for sure, too luxury for me :)

I have a local place that does a pretty good job and is very inexpensive. Like 15$ for a simple sharpening and 8$ to replace a tooth. Might have to look around a bit, there might be somewhere close to you.?

Not sure I agree with Tenryu being disposable from either economical or environmental perspectives. Tenryu is fairly inexpensive but the carbide is pretty thick and can be resharpened several times for even better value.?

Where are you located. John Kee turned me to Leitz, I am sure they have multiple locations but Grand Rapids was the nearish to me (I am in Indiana). There is another place highly recommended here on FOG located in St. Louis.

?I have saved several Felder Universal blades over the last few years with the intent to have them sharpened.? I have never accomplished this task.? What service are others using?? If you so your own sharpening what system are you using? Have you been happy with the results??

Thanks in Advance
