Hi David Best,
When SW posted his question I was happy to anticipate riding
on his coattails for some good ideas. Your reply has exceeded my hopes. IMHO,
you could contribute significantly to the next rev of the Blickpunkt Werkstatt.
I and the rest of the FOG regulars are indebted to you for your so many
insightful contributions, and the generous sets of photos are never TMI for me.
Ideas I found to be especially useful included: the holes beneath
the shaper cutter edges to assist in picking them up; laying the magnetic bars
down on the drawer bottoms to keep chisels in place (mine are wall- mounted,
with space filling up too quickly and the end- rings on my Japanese chisels
falling off when they loosen as the wood shrinks in Colorado¡¯s dry air); and,
the graduated wall height on the scrap storage bin (I am too often searching
for shorter pieces amongst the taller ones ¨C such a simple and practical idea
to graduate the height.)
Lastly, one humble suggestion to make, a warning sticker on
the booze cabinet: DANGER: For Use Only at Day¡¯s End ?
Thanks again so much for this.
Cheers, Eric Janson

Thanks David and Imran for posting pictures.? I were looking for equal-height-drawers tool cart, but seeing your pictures, the shallow drawers are useful as well.? I considered building drawer cart using 100-lbs drawer slide, but the weight of the Felder shaper cutters made me think that metal tool cart is a better option.? One shipping box of Felder shaper cutter weighed in at 62 lbs per UPS.
David, are those Durham racks and compartment boxes that you use to sort your screws, bolts, etc.?? How did you obtain extra dividers???
