Re: Starting battery being drained when stopped for camping......
My Euro is 1993 Westfalia. When I stop and camp, both the starting battery and auxiliary become drained if I use my cabin lights and stereo. I am wondering why my starter battery also gets drained. I was sure my starter battery should be protected in this situation??

Re: Starting battery being drained when stopped for camping......
if you have an aux battery the wiring should be like this: Cig lighter and radio and front lights are on the primary outlets in the back plus fridge outlet in the seat are on the secondary. theoretically, the two batteries should be disconnected once you stop and turn off the car. F.? |
Re: Where is , and how do I replace the "fan resistor pack " ???
Is the fan totally dead or just weak? If it's weak, it could be that your cabin air filter is clogged. An easy test of this is to switch your system into Recirculate mode - I'm not sure how to do that on a '95 but on my 2000 it's the button that looks like an arrow going in a circle. I find that when my cabin air filter is clogged, the airflow will be much higher in recirculate mode. When's the last time you changed your cabin air filter?

As to your question about "where is the resistor pack?" Searching for "eurovan blower motor resistor location" leads to this picture which is for a 1993 but suggests you can get to it after removing the glovebox and that the resistor pack is mounted on or near the motor itself: hope this helps! Like myself and one other mentioned- I¡¯ve seen this with defective Brake Boosters before. Several times. Mark Agreed. At first did not notice the pumping did any good because we didn't try it. It's now back at the shop, it's been bled several times both manual and pressure bleeding, and the pedal is still very low. Pedal travels almost 3/4 of the way to the floor before it stops. From looking at the Bentley, it's not clear how, or if this could be associated with the ABS pump. Still looking for ideas. ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this group, send a message to mailto:ev_update-unsubscribe@... ------------------------------------ Yahoo Groups Links |

Where is , and how do I replace the "fan resistor pack " ???
As I have written in my recent posts I have a 95 evc. The ac fan has stopped mostly , with out of the blue it might work for a short jaunt. The fan spins fine , fuses and relay box seem aok. Where is this fan resistor pack that most likely needs replacing ? I noticed when it is running the fan on #4 its not really blowing like it did . THank you !!! |
Re: Air conditioning blower stopped / intermittent
Hello . I connected the gap an nothing changed . The relay is making what seems to be the appropriate clicking . What else could this be . It worked last night for a while . I tried turning it off and it did not come back on :(. It is so hot right now too !

Re: 2003 EuroVan MV alignment advice needed
I align mine with a fishing rod nylon string and asquare ruler. Let me know if anybody is interested. On Saturday, July 11, 2015 4:34 AM, "robicare5@... [ev_update]" wrote:

Re: Air conditioning blower stopped / intermittent
When the fan resistor pack dies; when the power wires burn up or otherwise fault; when the fuse blows, or when the relay or the fan switch dies or when the fan motor seizes.
All fairly common (sans #2), normal wear items. The first and last requiring dash removal for access iirc. Best, Justin 2000 EVW 5-spd TDI |
