Re: Shocks
I'm looking into new shocks for my 93 EV MV Weekender (84,000 miles). I've heard recommendations for Bilsteins in this group and was planning to get them. Then I spoke to a trusted mechanic friend who

Not to Question Authority here but I understand from following the list fo9r

Rod, weren't you on the old Vanagon list? Your sig looks familiar.
Anyway, there're a couple folks on the list (Steve L. comes to mind) that carry EV parts. From the Vanagon days, there's Ron at

Re: '99 MV wanted + advice?
My 99EVC has a center seat that faces either forward or backward, not on
tracks but on pegs that are threaded into the floor. The center seat is on
wheels and rolls into place allowing a vice like

I just joined the group, so I'm sorry if this is a often repeated
question. Is there anyone else besides VWOA that carries EV parts? I
need a new catalytic converter for my '93 EV MV. This is a

Re: 93 EV Factory Repair Manuals for Sale - soon
Funny you should be bring that up. I was thinking earlier that I might do
the same with my Vanagon Bently. I traded in my 84 Westy for a 99 Winnie in
June.

93 EV Factory Repair Manuals for Sale - soon
Folks,
When I bought my EV back in 93, the service manager gave me a spare set
of the dealer's version of the EV repair manuals. If all goes well with
VW setting me up with a 99 EV, I will not be

Re: '99 MV wanted + advice?
Thanks Ron,
That is a great feature. I went and test drove a 2000 and didn't even
notice if that feature existed but I recall the seat mounting hardware
seemed complex so I'll bet this is the case.

The permanent restroom excuse is a crock. My old agent told me the same
thing because they wanted the higher commission. I don't think Allstate
requires a bathroom. Part of the confusion comes from

Re: New owner; extended warranty question
The policy is available nationwide. Rates may vary slightly, but Allstate is
shooting for dominance in the RV market. Their underwriting is well
developed and they are able to beat market prices.
