Re: Whining Noise. Is it beginning of Tranny issues?
Slightly off topic but I use Fluid Rx to check my transmission fluid.? Even though I have an external transmission cooler and a Scan Gauge II with which to monitor the fluid's temperature, I check it after every long trip or any trip where I have encountered a lot of stop-and-go traffic or hill/mountain climbing. Fluid Rx It is not a full spectroscopic oil analysis and won't indicate suspended metal fragments if they are too small to be seen with the naked eye.? That said, it is very easy requiring only a drop or two of oil/transmission fluid be put on the special paper and comparing the color to a chart they include.? Being able to easily do this is one of the main reasons I was so interested in getting a transmission dipstick and tube installed.? Re: Whining Noise. Is it beginning of Tranny issues?
Need to give mileage.? What motor?? AES- VR6-12V?.? How loud?? How high pitch?? If the car is shifting okay, then probably not the tranny, but wouldn't hurt to do as Bob W suggests, or change fluid if it is that cycle.? Could be idler pulley for accessory belt, air conditioning clutch pulley, or could be the power steering system.? Please let us know the outcome.

开云体育When was tranny fluid last changed?? If it were me, I would change the
ATF and send a sample of the old ATF to Blackstone for analysis.

I posted similar question last week (Subject: whirling noise). The noise is not high pitched, but more like really quite golf cart. I was told by dealership that it was coming from the transmission differential and would lead to an eventual transmission failure/replacement. The transmission on my 2003 EVW with 175k miles is shifting smooth. Please keep me posted on what you find from your mechanic Thank you, --Leo -------------------------------------------- On Tue, 6/30/15, glynndunbar@... [ev_update] <ev_update@...> wrote:

Sam this is also my problem...This solves a problem if your Norcold (Model 3163)? fridge lights ( green light goes on) but then- after you release the button- the green light goes out and you can't get the green light to stay on- no matter what you do. How do I go about getting one of your kits? Thanks, Linda

Seeking Recommended Camp Sites in Wallowa Lake State Park and Other Comments
Hi Folks,
We will be visiting our kids in south Puget Sound in August and will leave them to take four weeks to get back home. We would like to go to the Wallowa Mountains. Do any of you have camp sites you would recommend for an EVC at Wallowa Lake State Park and/or any other recommended camp grounds and camp sites on the way to and in the Wallowa's? All comments etc. are welcomed. We could use some help focusing our planning!!!! Much thanks. Peter |

Eric Murray
开云体育The second and third symptoms are typical of low hydraulic pressure. Since you'v set the level correctly, the problem could well be a worn valve body.? This is known to happen on these transmissions. You can either do the Kerma mod (which turns up the pressure) or replace the valve body. I'd to the latter.? There are companies that make modified valve bodies. I did the Kerma mod before I fullly understood what it did and kind of wish I hadn't. kerma mod: Eric On 06/29/2015 08:08 AM, toddswifty@... Unfortunately due to lousy design on Westfalia's part the faucet knob commonly gets broken and you have to buy the whole sprayer assembly to get another one.?? They are available from Germany.? I bought a new one last fall and I looked the other day and knob was broken already.?? We need to get an intact knob and get someone over in North America with a 3D printer to scan it and make a bunch of copies.?? I believe the shop in Germany website is VWBUSSHOP.DE?? and you can click on the Union Jack to get it show the site in English. Reg 1994 VW Eurovan Westfalia.
