wiring diagram for behind fuse box

On my 02 mv I can not remove the drop down fuse panel to get at the driver door harness connectors. I can swing the white tabs up but only the right side of the fuse box will lift up. The left side is firmly frozen in place like something in the back is blocking that side. lying on my back and Looking up and behind the fuse panel there is a nightmare of wires and I'm very reluctant to start reaching up into them in order to find the blockage. All the on line diagrams only show the front of the relay and fuse panels. I will need to know where all those wires and connectors are mounted if I have to unplug them in order to find and unblock the fuse panel. Anyone have a back side diagram? Thanks for any help.

Re: 2003 body (doors & hatchback) for 1993

DB a while back I was looking into replacing my drivers door on my 02 weekender with one from a 93 in order to have a crank down window. I don't remember the site but it said that the body on the SWB from 93-03 were the same. There are doors and hatches in the Eurovan SAMBA classifieds. Good luck.

Some of mine are rusted, and 1993s are difficult to find.

Also, any idea if a 2003 windshield would fit on a 1993?

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Hey Mark,
?
Would you mind scoping out a few items that I'd be interested in?
?
- Driver's side fender shell (it looks to be in good shape from the pic you posted)
- Passenger side sliding door
- Pop top's canvas tent (especially the screens) - my top is good, just the tent is showing its age
- Winnebago luggage rack/bin. A few years ago, I donated mine to the great state of Kansas, somewhere on I-70. I also donated my plastic propane tank cover somewhere on route 160 while crossing the Navajo Nation - if any of yinz stumble across these items in your travels on these roads, let me know ;-)
?
If you can, next time your scavenging, please let me know if the above are still on the vehicle and their condition. I can swing by the salvage yard and remove them myself when I stop by your place to retrieve the wheels that you've already removed for me (thank you very much).
?
I'm still planning to be back in Boalsburg, PA end of February/early March and will also be visiting my cousin in Altoona, I think a little more than an hour from you.?
?
Thanks again,
Pete

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Jim 95 and all,
?
I have not made it back down to the junkyard yet to get more from the Winnebago eurovan.? It turned cold and winter here since a few days after the new year.? I just have not had the right time to get back down there and remove some more items.? I might get there this weekend, but it is a slim chance.? It is to warm up above freezing on Sat so it would be nice to get down there.? Then next week another round of bitter cold is heading this way for a few days but the 25th is to be starting a warm up I believe.
?
I just wanted to let you guys know that I am still planning on a part hunting mission.
?
Jim 95 - do you have a part number for the TCM just in case it might not be a match in the later model vans.?
The fuse panel on the left side of steering wheel was messed with pretty good, but I can look, is there where you mean for the position 22?
I think the vents were there, I can grab them if they are still there.
I am pretty sure the EGR valve is gone with the engine, but I can double check.
?
Thanks,
?
Mark??

It is a nice tool, prices can be all over the place also.

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Interesting. Here’s a screenshot of a random search I just did for a 2003 Eurovan transmission w/distances listed from my zip. One thing to note is the models listed under Volkswagen are mostly alphabetical with the exception of the Eurovan which is listed further down as a sub of “Van”.

As they say YMMV but this is a salvage yard parts database not a new car database that’s been very handy to me over the years.

Check out car-part.com. That’s about the closest thing to a nationwide wrecking yard database available online that i know about (includes Canada yards too).

Best wishes,?

95 Eurovan? 5cly needs
I haven't had a moment to research what years the part will match a 95 EV.??
I looked high and low for these out-of-build items, other than a Transmission Control Module rebuild, they are still not found.
The power steering transmission control module is located on the right front passenger kick panel.
Fuse block for AC S23- Fuse for fresh air blower motor and A/C compressor clutch (30 amp) located on aux relay panel, position 22
Dashboard plastic air grill on far left and right of dashboard.
EGR Valve

Re: ID-buzz?

My 2014 BMW i3 was built that way--CRFP body panels made the car weigh half that of similarly sized vehicles.? Unfortunately, its somewhat quirky appearance limited its US sales (but Europe is crawling with them).? Also, by the end of its run, its EPA range estimate had quadrupled with advances in battery tech.? Unfortunately, BMW didn't offer battery upgrades, (there is a guy in the Czech Republic who does) so while I intend to keep the car forever, its first gen batteries currently limit its use to strictly erranding.? Also, not a big deal, but a warning for all in-vehicle technology, BMW ceased support of its driver app because the cell phone companies abandoned 3G tech) so there are no more nav or software updates.? In ten years of ownership, its only maintenance items have been new tires (3x).? At ~150k miles, its batteries are 85% of new.

Re: ID-buzz?

A friend has a Cirrus: weighs 600 pounds dry. I gave my son a 1982 Rabbit for his first car. A sensible vehicle. Fun to drive. Simple. Now? A computer on wheels. I don’t expect an Id4 will be in the road in forty years.?

I feel the same way.

?

There are two ways to build an EV. The first is the auto company way. Lots of steel, so heavy, so it need a big motor and lots of batteries to move it. Poor range due to all that weight. Expensive due to the sheer mass of materials.

?

The second way is more like an airplane (or original microbus). Keep it small, light, and simple. Use high-strength composites, to halve the weight while keeping all the strength. Half the weight means half the motor and half the batteries for the same range and performance. Despite the higher cost of the composites, it winds up cheaper because all the rest of the parts are smaller and lighter.

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Take a pic of where it is. I might have it. I changed out my Winnebago doors for custom ones and changed the configuration to allow opening drawers and doors with the bed down. I have 2or 3 old doors kicking around.?

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

All,
I plan to go back early next week to grab some items for myself.? Let me know what to look for.? If it is there I can do my best to grab it for you and we can work out price and shipping - I'd prefer items not too large for shipping.?

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Scott, car-part.com is one I look at.??

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Marshall and Mike,
?
It is u pull type yard in the Pittsburgh PA area.? I plan to go back early next week to grab some items.? I'd be willing to pull items and we could work out getting them to you so long as not too large for shipping.? The engine is gone, and crudely removed, as in cut anything and everything that was between the engine and engine compartment.? Not sure what wiring you are looking for.
?
Let me know.

Re: Eurovan Winnebago conversion in the local junk yard

Cole, thank you for chiming in, you are the pioneering expert on the subject! (In my opinion).? So the top, is not a good idea!? That is a bummer but I appreciate the hard truth.? These van rarely show up in a yard around here.
?
Thanks!
