1997 VW Eurovan Fuel Line Seeping?
Afternoon The fuel line on my 1997 VW Eurovan Winnebago Full Camper is seeping next to the fuel filter. I've checked with BusDepot, GoWesty and Eurocampers but don't see a direct replacement. Most list various diameters of fuel lines but none with the connector on the end of the about 6-8 inch line. Recommendations, suggestions? Thanks Kent Kirkley |

Re: Need seatbelt repaired or replaced
开云体育I've had excellent results from Safety Restore.? Not only do they replace the webbing but they also replace the springs that rewind the belts, if they think they are in bad shape...?it's like having brand new seatbelts- awesome.? And you can decide on an interesting color if you want...? Highly recommend! Cheers, Bob On 10/31/24 12:09, Serge Issakov via groups.io wrote:

Headlight relay install and DRLs
I'm considering upgrading to European headlights and installing a headlight harness.? I? read that installing? the harness would disable the DRLs and a separate additional relay install was necessary to get the DRLs working.
?
Any first hand experience?

Thanks, Elden |

Bummer,
??? If you haven't already, check Ebay.? Those sorts of things show up there.? If not now, leave a "save this search" to get email notifications if one does.
? Other possibilities: The Samba, and Vortex.? Used parts dealers (junkyards) might have one, too.
?
Good luck,

Re: Wanted: 1999 AC High Pressure Hose
I ordered one from here:? ? because mine had a crack in the metal at the fitting. If it's just the rubber hose that's failed, you can get new ones made. David 2000 EVC

Seeking Owners Manual for 97 Eurovan (and 4 Modifications)
Last year my Eurovan was broken into and I have not been able to find an Owners Manual, paper, copy or electronic. I would appreciate any leads on where to acquire one. ?Thanks. (Thief pulled up the louvered window (above the stove) and reached through to pop up the drivers door lock. ?I have now installed a metal mesh screen over the first foot)

Re: Won't shift into 3rd, 2nd or 1st
That sounds like Limp Mode to me.? Technically, even though it is in D, it is probably in 3rd gear resulting in slow starting from stop and top speed of 45 or so.
If I'm correct, you'll need to determine the cause of the issue. http://www.eurovanrescue.com/?s=transmission My experience with this over the years (multiple incidents)
- the transmission cable on mine melted due to a coolant leak, causing a short, resulting in limp mode (had to cut/connect new section) - a water damaged TCM - transmission control module (required replacement, found at junk yard) - the Sport Mode switch on the dash caused erratic shifting behavior (removed it) - learn the transmission reset procedure as you will need to use it after any attempts to fix (you could even try now in cause your issue is an intermittent one) Other possibility could just be that your transmission is damaged. I'm not sure about shifter issues or other ideas, but certainly there could be a lot of other possibilities. |
Re: Won't shift into 3rd, 2nd or 1st
Transmission Shift Button Press/Brake requirements. Here's the full list... ?BUTTON/BRAKE required: ?P-R ?N-R & N-D ONLY ?BUTTON required: ?R-P (trust me on this, you probably have the brake on, but not necessary…) 2-1 ?3-D <--! (Both my first '02 and the current '03) ?R-N-D-N-R-N-D <- this one for snow or mud!? It's in the owners manual, book 3.1.1, page 97... need to slip quick thru, at slow speeds 'Rocking the vehicle back and forth' to get unstuck. (Anyone grew up in snow country knows about this!) ??NO BUTTON required: ?R-N ?D-3 ?3-2 ?1-2 & 2-3 ? By the way: There is NO SUCH THING as ‘half-press’ of the button! You’ve either pressed it far enough, or not! Pressing all the way is NOT required... ? |

Is there another switch that could have gone bad that prevents it going into the lower gears? ?
To go from D to 3 or 2, you DON'T press the button.? You press it again to get to 1.? Sometimes it doesn't appear to be that way, but it's just a glitch in your process, possibly having the button partially in.
