Maybe a dumb question but does the compressor turn on? Temperature selector working (not stuck on
hot)? Is this a model with Climatronic automatic or manual A/C?

Even if hot, can you tell if the air coming out is truely air-conditioned or not (does it feel
like the ambient air's humidity level or as if it's been de-humidified? Remember that A/C air by
the time it reaches the cabin can still be heated so just going on temperature alone being hot
doesn't mean the A/C isn't turning on.

My wife named our MV (not a camper) Sophie, my three year old calls her
Snophie. We got our van used and the user's manual had some child writing
on it that said "Sophie" so my wife decided that it was our van's writing.
Kind of funny!

I need to get a number of spare parts for my EVC'97, including

waste water valve and cap
bike rack (rear) for carrying 3 bikes
exterior cover for the propane tank
Norcold fridge panel (I did see an earlier posting on this)

Any recommendation on good sites (I do know about gowesty)?

measured 2.5 inches from the top part of the window to the top of the mirror
mount assembly. If your ruler wont slide under the plastic, the distance is
about 2.25 inches. Left-right position is on vehicle centerline.

'95 EVC just bought. Service manual is in route but it is getting hot
here and I wish the blower worked. Is there a fuse for it I should
check? The fuse box door doesn't list one. Any other known issues I
should check?

Ours is named "Whitehorse" after the town in Yukon, Canada along the
Alaska highway. Saying the name brings memories of an awesome 6-week
adventure that started just a couple of months after WH joined our

Probably,
ev_update members get a discount at several suppliers, including eurocampers.
Go to the yahoo ev-update site and I think the discount code is there under
files, but not positive.

Hi Gang,
Just a quick note to let you know the Arlo Guthrie walk for
Huntington's Disease is this Sunday starting at 10 AM. I was looking
for Bus drivers to help shuttle walkers back from the end point (The
former Alice's Restaurant) back to the Guthrie Center (Ray and Alice's

Several others have reported great results after upgrading to the
235/60/HR16 size made by Kumho. It is the Road Ventuer APT KL51 Highway
All-Season tire with a 104H load rating and a UTQG rating of 600AA for
about $89 at TireRack.Com. They even report that it rides smoother and
quieter than the original Michelin MXV4's and there were no problems
with wheel well or fender clearance.

My plan is to switch to a set of them for my 2002 EVC when the current
225/60/R16 102H UTQG 400AA Michelin MXV4 Plus tires need replacing
since Michelin has discontinued the 102H rated tires which we need for
the vehicle. My only concern is making sure that it will still fit
under my garage door opening which is already very tight with the
original 225 tires. Hopefully the 235's will still give me enough
clearance.

On propane the fridge will prabaly take 12 hours to get cold-It should be
faster on 110.
