Well, I just took a quick look under the van and here's my view(point);
there is a "bulb-like" section of the exhaust coming right off the engine
which I would guess to be the end of the downpipe, followed by an oxygen
sensor, then followed by the "catalytic converter," then the "pre-muffler"
(first of two mufflers), and finally the muffler at the back.
Dennis, Norman and all -

Assuming the 93 EV is similar to the 99, a great way to talk around this
component location description is to view Good Old David Burket's Xcountry
Xpedition 99 Special Dispatch dealing with underbelly pictures: <A

showing nearly all of frame</A> and <A

Catalytic Converter</A>.

And as long as we are under there, I have a question about the 99 EVC blower
fan for the rear passenger area. It appears from Dave's photo that the fan
draws air from a plenum along the right side of the vehicle and blows it
through the floor vents behind the front passenger seat. Am I seeing water
lines on the left side for a heater core? What is the purpose of the heavy
wire mesh on the front and rear of the unit?
