For those of you wondering about the F45+ awning, I've successfully
install one on my 99 EVC.
Here's my observations and opinions.
Pros
1) It's very well made from extruded and cast aluminum, plastic, nylon
and rubber.
2) It's very easy to set up. One person about 5' tall can set it up in
about a minute. Really!
3) Despite it's weight, it's fairly compact. It doesn't increase the
height of the Van at all.
4) The finish matches the pop top, it keeps with the styling of the EVC.
Cons
1) It's expensive.
2) Installing it properly is not easy
3) It partially blocks access to tucking in the pop top
4) It's not as big as some awnings. 8'2" long and opens to 6' wide
This awning is not likely to be a hit with everyone, but I'm very
pleased and glad I went to the extra
trouble to getting one. For me it was the right choice, love it already.
