Fan fuses UPDATE

Team Degenerate Motorsports

Kate -

I was the one with the original HOT HOT post. I did p/u two at my dealer
last week ( $3.00 ) and replaced the cooked pair. Mine were blown out
in the middle - about 1/8 inch where they were not contacting, the fuse
holder was not melted but you could tell it saw some bigtime heat
buildup before they blew.

They were still aluminum in color but definately no longer one peice.
Your edges being curly might be from being screwed in tight - if it's on
the ends?

The plastic housing cover was the only thing protecting mine this is by
design it appears.

My van is back to normal.... WHEW!!! That was cheap :-)

Subject: fan fuses(was HOT thread)

What do the flat fuses look like when cooked? Mine are aluminum colored, no
burn marks but the edges are slightly curly on the right fuse. Also, when I
took the plastic protective panel off, the housing was open & the fuses
exposed.
Thanks,
Kate
