I have a 2 m / 70 cm antenna mounted on an "L" bracket near the top of
the hood on the fender wall on the passenger side. It seems to work
quite nicely. I had to grind a bit off the bracket and put a bend in
the antenna at the loading coil. I also operate HF when we're camped
and have built a console for the Icom 3230, TenTec Scout and Kenwood
tuner! The HF antenna mounts on a bracket coming off the front
bumper. All the HF gear is powered off the 2 deep cycle batteries in
the camper.

I am shopping for an antenna for a 2M radio. Mag mounts don't work, I
suppose it has to be a glass-mount. Any insights into antenna
