Sorry to hear about your beloved EV. I tried
replying to your message earlier without
success. You might try looking at the
NADA Used Car Guide (local libraries
usually have copies) or going online to
Kelley Blue Book . Both of these will list
trade in and retail prices.
In case you are contemplating another EV,
we have a '93 EVMV for sale in northern NJ
- just bought a '99.

Well, I received some very bad news today. Last week my wife was
in an
accident while driving the EV MV (just bought it in jan, drove it
from NJ to
Utah). I just found out today that they are going to declare it a
total
loss. I breaks my heart because it is totally driveable. But VW
parts are
so damned expensive when you add it all up it is not worth it to
insure.
That damage is mostly body and a few thing in the engine
compartment (air
blowers etc.) It make me sick to think of a scrap yard chopping it
up. Oh,
well, what is done is done.
Now comes the monumental task of proving to the Ins. co. the value
of the
van. I send out a plea to all of you, if you have purchased a 1993
EV in
the last year or know somebody who has please contact me. I need
to gather
information so that when they lowball me I am armed with facts and
figures.
Thank you.
As a side note I am also looking for a EV MV to replace our dearly
departed.
any leads would be appreciated.
