Hi Paul:
Congrates on the EVC is it new?
I don't know what the " best rear mount bike rack " is, probably the
Paulchen-System, talk to the folks in Owasco about that ( contact me if you
can't find their number, the web site is not coming up at the moment ) But I
have a suggestion. I'm using a regular trunk mount rack that would fit on
any sedan or wagon, it has pads to protect your paint and it's very easy to
get on and off. The straps all connect to the rear hatch itself so you can
open it without having to remove the rack, in fact if you just need
something quick you don't even need to remove the bikes. The Paulchen-System
has a product that keeps the door open with the rack loaded, it's basically
a prop rod. If you plan to do a lot of bike toting, you'll probably want
something a little more substantial, but this is an great solution for most
people and at a fraction of the cost, in fact, like many people you may have
one of these things already. The one I have is a " rode gear shuttle " It
works good but if your going to buy one I would recommend one that is
designed to fit on mini vans specifically ( this one is not ) you'll get a
more secure fit.
Good luck
