My 2000 EV has about 2500 miles on it. It has made a noise since day
one. It is a faint ticking noise that you can hear inside the car but
not out in the engine area. More noticable when under a load but you
can hear it at idle. It almost sounds like a tach cable or vacuum
ticking noise. It isn't in the engine. Anyone have a similar noise.
I'm going to drive another new EV to compare the sounds.
Maybe it is the power steering. Now that the weather has turned colder
(less than 40 deg F in the moring. There is a noise when making tight
turns. My wife always drives it so I don't hear it as much. Could be
a tight power steering system. Any thoughts? I do all of my own work
and really don't want to take it to the dealer (yet).
