I'm still de-rattling my 99 EVC. I *think* I lowered the roof noise
a lot by leaving the cushions *and* a modest-sized down comforter in
the upper bunk while the top is down. I wouldn't want to leave too much
up there and do damage to the top, but this seemed like a reasonable
step.
I solved the rattling on my (& EVC by tightening up the two hooks that
engage when you pull the top down. It worked wonders.
