I don't disagree with your comments on the situation with parts for the
EuroVan in the USA. VW has a problem here and so do many manufacturers with
very low volume. It's part of the experience of owning a unique vehicle.
Usually this becomes a nice opportunity for aftermarket parts suppliers. I
do however feel the situation is better for VW's more popular models. I have
not experieced any parts issuse on the Rabbits and Golfs I've owned since
1975. Comparing the Tercel parts situation to a EuroVan is tough because
Toyota has sold many more of them in the USA. In any event, improvement in
the EV parts situation would be welcome. Hopefully VW will sell many more
here and thus become more interested.
