When I bought my 2003 Eurovan/T4 from the original owner 5 years ago, it had 102,000 miles on it. I had a noticeably hard 1/2 upshift if the accelerator pedal pressure was lifted/decreased after initial acceleration away from a stop. Now, 5 years later with 130,000 miles on it,....I get hard upshifts with 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4 upshifts IF and only if I lift my foot after initial acceleration, before reaching 4th gear. To clarify,......If I apply throttle from a stop,.....AND keep my foot position constant,.....(do not lift my foot) then, all the shifts are normal. It does this whether hot or cold,.....no difference. I did a transmission service when I first bought the van,....replacing the filter and fluid (just draining and refilling with filter),....and have changed it it again at 129,000 miles. I also replaced all three engine and transmission mounts when I first bought it.
I have read that the N92 solenoid controls shift quality,....and that the internal ribbon cables can cause various issues,......
Anyone else experienced this hard shift when accelerator pressure is lifted/reduced?
