Hi David, I did a similar job on my 2003 GLS ( I did the camper conversion) with 256000 miles, in addition to the engine work had the transmission fully rebuilt. I was wondering how much you put in the engine work, I spent about 10k. Mine runs like a new one now.

?Hi Jim,
Sterling Autowerks in Denver. Great guy, not the fastest but he’s a great mechanic. I just had him do my timing chain - pretty much an engine full front end refresh, all new everything plus crack pipe, vac tubes, motor mounts, Go Westy transmission cooler and a ton of little odds and ends.
At the moment I’m about 5000 miles into an east coast road trip and it’s running smooth and strong - like brand new. I’ve been meaning to do a post on all the crazy stuff Sterling did to the van. Soon. But he’s your guy in Denver.
