George It would be helpful if we knew what Eurovan, year, model you have.
To get slack in the serpentine belt, you have to screw in a M8x1.25 inch (can be longer) bolt into the tensioner.
That's for 2001-2003 Eurovans. I think that's also the size bolt for 1997-2000's as well. For earlier Eurovans, I don't know. You can access the tensioner by looking on the left side, down behind the radiator. If you need more room, remove screws, grill components and tilt the radiator forward holding it in place with a block of wood.
