Re: Transmission Woes

All great info everyone.? Thanks.? To get back on topic, specifically around the differential on the final drive of the transmission, my question is this: Since my Transmission was rebuilt in October of 2019, then 6000 miles was put on it after the rebuild, with my recent problem of a dry differential causing my speedo sensor to melt and my transmission needing a new differential.? Considering the tech cannot find specific differential parts to rebuild, he's now looking for another core to use parts from.? Should I expect to have to pay for this considering gear oil was non existent?? Is it possible that after the rebuild, normal wear would cause such a situation that I should expect to pay for?? OR should I assume that there was an oversight in the initial rebuild.? ?I of course feel the latter since I complained of vibration and whining post rebuild of the transmission.? The shop reviewed and stated nothing was wrong.? Looking back I think now it was a clear indication that there was a problem with the transmission.? Thoughts?
