Shop just installed new front rotors and pads on our 1997 EVC "Vanpira" & now the pedal is spongy and brakes weak. Can't get a panic stop, can't get ABS to activate except on test run on loose dirt/sand road, & then only very briefly on all 4. Classic air in lines, right? so returned to shop & they re-bled using pressure bleed, they report no difference & are blaming pads. Pads/rotors were a "set" from Europarts-SD, & Steve there said pads were OEM semi-metalic. Anyone have similar issues with Euorparts SD supplied pads? I still think it's an air-bleed problem. If it was JUST the front pads (rear were not touched & were working fine) wouldn't the rears still lock up/ activate ABS normaly even though fronts were not good pad material? Need to get back on the road ASAP, so any inputs appreciated! Thanks EV buddies!? Peter L, Yosemite Area CA.
